This week my guest is Keina Newell. Keina is a financial coach and founder of the Wealth Over Now program. We discuss our relationship with money and get into the connection between money and people pleasing, codependency, and perfectionism. Keina discusses how budgeting can be therapeutic and comforting. She talks about how gaining awareness about how you’re spending your money can change your ability to save and achieve your goals. She has her clients ask themselves when they’re shopping: “Why am I buying this thing? What is the feeling that's motivating it? Does it work with the math? Does it work with the budget? Could I just feel this feeling? What would it be like to feel uncomfortable rather than overspend? Rather than extend beyond what the math tells me is a good decision for me?” Keina feels it's her personal mission to help everyone make the money they desire to make and to create the life that they love.
